Services

Interfaces first. Everything behind them too.

I specialise in the part of the product your customers touch, and I can build the rest so it all works as one.

  1. 01

    Product interfaces

Dashboards, portals and internal tools that make complex workflows feel simple. Real-time data, role-based views and forms that never lose work.

    Mobile apps

Cross-platform iOS and Android apps with offline support, push notifications and the same polish as the web product.

    Design systems

Component libraries and UI kits that keep a product consistent as it grows, documented so your team can ship without me.

About

Engineer by trade. Obsessive about the details.

I'm Macdonald Sairos, a frontend engineer and the founder of Miccs Technologies. Since 2021 I've been building the software Zimbabwean businesses run on: student accommodation and property platforms, procurement and point-of-sale systems, fintech tools and logistics dashboards.

I care about the moment a person uses what I build. That means interfaces that load quickly on a phone in Mbare or Masvingo, read clearly in bright sunlight, and work for everyone, then code underneath that a team can maintain for years.

African products deserve world-class interfaces. That's the bar I set for every project.

01

Fast on real networks

Performance budgets, optimised images and green Core Web Vitals, tested on mid-range Android phones.

02

Accessible by default

Semantic HTML, keyboard support, visible focus and colour contrast that meets WCAG AA.

03

Pixel-honest

Typography, spacing and motion handled with care, from a 320px phone to a 4K monitor.

04

Built to hand over

Typed, componentised code and clear docs, so the product outlives the engagement.

Monitoring, fixes and iteration after go-live.

FAQ

Questions clients usually ask.

Straight answers before you get in touch. Anything else, just ask.

What kind of projects do you take on?

Web apps, dashboards and internal tools; marketing websites and online stores; cross-platform iOS and Android apps; and design systems. When a project needs it, I also build the API, database, authentication and deployment behind the interface.

Do you work with clients outside Harare or Zimbabwe?

Yes. I am based in Harare and work remotely with teams across Zimbabwe, the rest of Africa and further afield, keeping Central Africa Time (CAT) hours. Every project ships weekly previews to a live URL, so distance never slows the work down.

How does a project start?

With a short discovery conversation about your goals, your users and the one metric that matters. From there we design flows and UI in the browser, build in weekly previews you can share, and launch with monitoring, fixes and iteration after go-live.

Which technologies do you build with?

Next.js, React and TypeScript on the web; React Native and Expo for iOS and Android; and Node.js with MongoDB or PostgreSQL when I build the backend too. Every build is held to a performance budget and tested on mid-range Android phones.

Will my team be able to maintain the product afterwards?

That is the standard every build is held to. The code is typed, componentised and documented, so the product outlives the engagement and your team can keep shipping without me.

How quickly do you reply?

I reply to every message within 24 hours, usually much sooner. Reach me through the contact form, by email, or on WhatsApp.
